Anyone else sick of seeing zombie threads about D Lakin and Darrin huff? Can we retire those?

We should sticky this thread purely for the ironic value of doing so.

I don't know who this Darrin Huff person is, but have people paid him for basses twelve years ago and haven't gotten them?

Let's make it so that every time you go to Talkbass, this thread opens!

D Lakin and Darrin huff, weren't they the President, and Vice President before Lincoln? Yes to the elimination of sticky threads.

    I would think no.
    Because they are ongoing issues.
And many need to be warned away.

I'm more amazed that the Huff issue is still ongoing.

As you mature, and your life and time fill up with important things like family, friends, career, etc, things like sticky threads will bother you less.

The Lakin thread is not about an 'issue'. You should read the sticky!

I did read it. But it was awhile ago and I jumbled it up with something else. I was thinking of that speaker cab guy.

I've since corrected my first post.

There's also the SGD pickup guy in the pickup forum if you really want to see ineptitude in action!

I read sticky threads giving advice on the proper use of and accepted forum practices in the classifides. I also read those pertaining to bass related technical subjects i may be interested in like the pickup knowledge base or how to figure amp loading, but a support group for a bunch of hapless optimists who got catfished on the interwebs?

Ain't nobody got time for that!

I think we should sticky this thread as a warning to others.

I usually just avoid them cause there's so many post I feel like mine wouldn't matter much. So I just read it.
