I was just wondering how everybody else has their EQ's dialed in. (Please tell me that there are those who are more creative than using the recommended settings in the manual:smug:)

I like to floor the 63, 1 oclock the 150, 2 oclock the 350, 1:30 the 800, 3 oclock the 2k, and 5 oclock the 5k. I usually tend to boost the gain over volume (Mmmm. Distortion.) :p

It's fairly generic I know, but it just dials in really well with my Geddy. :bassist:

    Who else?!
  2. Mind you I use a SABDDI first.

noon for all except drive which is 1 and presence which is 9.

    60, 9
    150, 2
    350, 1
    800, noon
    2k, 9
    5k, 9

    gain, 2

See below -- these are the B200 combo settings I arrived at playing with a fairly loud rocking band -- no effects between bass and amp except for a tuner. Tweeter OFF.

In a quiet "bedroom" situation, the amp's 800hz knob gets dialed back to the 11 o'clock position (lessening the gritty mid I need to "cut" through a multi-instrument mix), and the notch knob to about 1:30. Volume knob is "as needed," and I never needed to go past 1 o'clock. Actually, I did once and was asked to turn it down. I play a Precision bass and use a pick 99.99 percent of the time.

    So Cal
Haven't played out with it yet (1st time will be Monday), so this will likely change. I'm also using a BDDI and an Aphex Xciter.

    Xciter: all knobs at noon

    level - noon
    blend - 2:00
    treble - 11:00
    bass - 11:00
    drive - 11:00
    presence - 11:00

    (Horn is always off)

    Notch: 2:00
    63, 150, 350, 800, 2K - noon (flat)
    5K - 9:00
    Gain - noon
    Vol - season to taste

For one song I'm boosting low mids/cutting highs to approximate the sound of a glowly fretless, using bridge pickup only:

    Notch: 2:00
    63 - noon
    150 - 2:00
    350 - 3:00
    800 - noon
    2K - 9:00
    5K - 7:00
    Gain - 1:00
    Vol - we'll see
