I don't have money for either but if I did, which should I get?
i just looked at your profile.... you need bass equipment.
you obviously have enough computer to get you onto talkbass - which is eventually going to be the only thing you use your computer for.
so get new bass stuff
Dont bother with the computer aslong as It allows you to surf the net unless you play games on your PC(Like I used to on my compthanks to PC World
Good bass equipment holds its value longer.
This is true. I would go with new bass gear.
Judging by your profile, you need bass equipment. Kinda like me.
people nowadays seem to think you require a 2000terahertz CPU in order to have a usable PC...... pfft
get a nice 200mhz mmx pentium 128meg ram and 8.4gig HD at most 100$
and! get some bass stuff!
Unforunately mans0n I've got better, 233 MHz, 64MB Ram, and 3 GB of harddrive space. Ok, not ALL better, but the speed is better.
Oh the inevitable dilemma - bass or computer?
The ol' GeForce II GTS 32mb is getting long in the tooth... but I want a tube amp.
Ah well - as long as I can play Mafia (it works!) i'm happy. Give me bass or give me death!
unless you are logging on from the public library, get some bass gear.
Bass gear, in 30 years it will be "vintage" but your computer will be obeslete in 6 months.
BTW, up until about '98, I was using a 286, running completley on DOS, no hard drive, with one MB of RAM. I kid you not.
I graduated in high school in 2000 and my school's primary OS was windows 3.1
I just used XP for the first time when I started my job 2 weeks ago.
Yeah, I'm behind the times in computer technology.
When faced with the same situation, I went computer.
I could have gotten a Ampeg 8x10, and a high powered head, but got a nice computer. In the end, the computer was a better decision, IMHO.
did you have the rig of death at the time?
even if not, you were still able to get it.
so you don't count.
