Im debating as to whether i should take on the trb1006 as my first 6 string bass. Or should i carry on with my 4 strings and get a warwick corvette? Your opinions?

    Note.. i love both basses

I think the TRB series is some of the best bang for your buck. If you have other 4's....I would say get the TRB.....

  3. if you want to give a sixer a try, yamaha trbs KILLLLL

  4. You sure that you wanna jump right into a six? I mean it took me about 90 days before I was comfortable with the 5er.

If you are sure...then why not get one that doesn't cost a ton but has a great feel and look about it. You can always add Barts later.

Go for the 6'er man. If that is what you want, you won't be happy untill you try it.

I'd get the Corvette, but it's up to what you prefer.

    Myself, I prefer 4 strings

    Do you need the B and C? Its not like hey "I should try a 6 stringer!"...Not always actually...I want a sixer too,but don't need the extra 2 strings,so I won't buy one soon.:)

I've owned both, still have the TRB. Got the TRB about 2 years ago, still have it; got the Corvette about 1.5 year ago, got rid of the Corvette about a year ago.
If you don't want a 6-string, go for the TRB1004.

    1) What makes you want a 6?

    2) Do your hands feel comfortable playing one?

    3) What other basses do you have?

I have a MIM pbass with quarter pounders and a BAII.
A peavey millenium bxp that ive been tryin to sell locally for a while now.

Ive tried a trb it feels great in my hands and i love the sound, but i love the feel and sound of the corvette aswell.

I want a 6 just because it seems to open up more possibilties and the kinda person that loves to have that versatility.

The 6 seems the right choice at this moment in time but im still craving the corvette :bawl:

Warwick makes them already. To the OP, it sounds like yoou have GAS to me, plain and simple. Just keep the TRB6, and save for the Corvette. It takes time, but it makes more sense than trading or selling something you like for something else you like.

I don't know much, but I have lots of experience doing what I just described.
