To cover or not cover a vintage bass amp.

    I say, who cares about value. Make the amp look the way that you want and enjoy it. In terms of value, it would be the only one in the world like that. It might be worth more.

    I like tinted lacquer on tweed like you see on the old Fender amps. The Traynor would look cool like that.

    Build a new enclosure for it if You're concerned about the originality and value.

    That's what owners of old Fenders and Marshalls do.
    Well, they buy the new headcases or combo enclosures, but they could build 'em as well ;).
