  1. ...or people who live in similar weather conditions.

I may live in Singapore in the next few years. I'm not sure what would happen to my basses if I shipped them over.

I have a Precision and a Jazz but I'm worried about excessive neck warpage due to the high humidity and heat. I currently live in Vancouver where the weather is just right.

Can anyone tell me if I would have a problem?
  2. 1) I am very jealous that you live in Vancouver.
    2) The humidity will be a massive issue. It is a radical change from Vancouver. You are basically getting 90 degrees (F, about 32 degrees C) and VERY HIGH humidity every day. The warpage will be VERY noticeable unless compensated for, and other TBers can help you more, as I am an idiot. :D
  3. Yeah, I want to know if basses that have been there for a long time react differently than a bass brought in from a colder country.

Maybe native basses have less warpage?

I guess if I end up springing for a cheap, temporary bass, I can always get that BC Rich that I always wanted....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH...:D

    Hi from a Singaporean TBer.

Not sure if your plans have changed. Yes, neck warp is an issue, especially with maple necks.
  5. D'oh! Hmmm...Warlock or Mockingbird...
