    I have a almost pre-Gibson Tobias Basic with ser#2208. It's a 9 volt and just plays incredible. The passive sounds sweet. I picked it up on local Craig's list so I don't know too much about it. What I can tell by looking at it is that the bridge seems not to be the original. Other than that, it's in great shape. $1750 shipped.

    •Zebrawood body
    •neck-through design
    •Bartolini active pick ups
    •Comes w/OHSC
    This is not a pre-gibson but it might as well be because it's a very low serial # which means Mr. Tobias had a hand in building it.
    The electronics are a Bartolini 3 band eq with active/passive switch and Bartolini soapbar pickups.
