    I gigged a stock one for almost 10 years. Really well made basses. This one must sound great with the upgrades!

    I haven't seen much positive about the Toby's here on TB but I have a 4-string and I honestly think they're pretty nice basses, especially for the money. Maybe people are comparing them to real Tobias's, which is an unfair apples-and-oranges comparison. Put them up against another lower cost import bass and they compare much better.

    Mine is my one and only pawn shop purchase and I also replaced the preamp in mine with a 4-band Audere. It's a really nice sounding bass, light and comfortable to play, too.
