Tobias Toby Pro Electronics

    I want to change the preamp of my toby bass because the output is very weak..Any Suggestions!!!!!

    YEs indeed the Outputs is very weak, but i think it is the pickups instead of the preamp.
    Put some EMG's instead·.

    Hehe.. DX5 sounds like Ibanez,does it?
    I found out that the Toby's pickups model is DX5 the same you get on cheaper Ibanez.
    I think Mighty Mite produces those. In 1 word: SUCK.

    Well the "classic" Tobias basses all used Bartolinis, which sound awesome - I think Tobias also used a Bartolini pre-amp, but I'm not sure. Start with the pickups though - these will probably be expensive enough anyway! Every bass that I've heard with Bartolinis added, has sounded hugely better.
