What a great bass player, eh? I mean.. Faith plus one, what a great group. Great bass lines. What do you think of Token's bass playing?

He's pretty darn good. Anyone know who did the line in real life? Claypool?

hahahaha you saw it too. Good stuff, that South Park.

C: "Token, go get your bass guitar!"
    T: "I don't have a bass guitar."
C: "Token, your family is black! You have to have a bass guitar in the basement!"

    T: "Cartman, I can't play bass."
C: "Token, you're black. YOU KNOW HOW TO PLAY BASS!"
*Token plays bass for first time, and plays amazing slap funk line*
    T: "Ah dammit"

Wouldn't suprise me. Then again, it could have been any session cat they found outside their studio.

Is it true? Black people can naturally play bass? This cracker needs to know.

Just kidding. I'm really bored right now.

  8. "I love you {Jesus}. Wanna feel your {sweet salvation} all over my face." That was a cool episode. :D

I freaked out when I first heard it. It was pretty cool to see. I'll try to find the credits somewhere, they probably listed the bassist's name.

Well you know that the South Park theme song is by Primus so i wouldnßt be surprised that les claypool did that . Does anyone know which episode it is ?

Just because the theme song is by primus doesn't mean every song is. I'm not saying that it isn't, it very well may be. But, it very well may just be some session cat who lived or worked in the area that they called up for a 5 second slap track. Hell, it could have been anyone across the world that they emailed and asked to borrow a 5 second sample off of their website.

Great episode. Just saw it for the 5th time on New Years eve. Gets better everytime i see it.

    *token walks into cartmens house*

"Hey cartmen , you were right, there WAS a bass guitar in my basement"

    Thought that was funny.

But in all reality, there are very few black rock bassists, only jazz ones, no?

I just did a search on KaZaA and it was 709 and it was called "Christian Hard Rock". Unless there is more than one episode with a Christian Hard rock band? I dunno. I'm downloading it now.

It may also have been Matt Stone or Trey Parker. I think both of them, or at least Trey because Matt primarily plays drums, play bass.
