Hello Everyone, I did a search and didn't find the answer I was looking for. The standard values for Tone Capacitor's seem to be around 0.047uF and 0.05uF. I understand that the capacitor "bleeds off" to ground but don't know which direction the capacitance values behave in relation to the tone. What does a higher value do to the tone? Increase treble or increase bass? Thanks.
from the Stew-Mac site Also, one of their free info sheets -- What is a capacitor and how does it work?
"The higher the value, the more bass output from the tone control at its "zero" setting." Perfect! That's what I needed to know. Thank you.
