i just put a musicman replacement system into my bass, it sounds awesome, highly recommended.

so now i have 3 active eq. i get fat tones and rich sounds, but i'm feling that there is something i can do to better utilize my new tools :D

any info on optimizing sound my dialing in tone would be useful, also any info on that slap contour and what settings sound sweet.

    thanks-

Yea, this should be interesting....i might put one in my olp. Or maybe buy a 5string humber and route a place for my 5 jazz.

  6. Just today, I put the SD Alnico ll pup into my OLP. No tone circuit yet, but I'm looking into it. The pup sounds great as a passive. Much better than the stock pup.

i put it into a fernandez Atlas standard. i like the bass, it has good sound, feel, heel, maple fingerboard & neck, alder body with the pickup routed into the sweet spot. i tried it next to a new Ernie Ball/MusicMan sterling and it felt and sounded better.
