I recently came into possession of an '82 Korean Squier P-Bass, and the tone knob doesn't seem to work at all. The volume knob is also a little wonky; it cuts out if it isn't turned up to max volume. Is this something I could fix myself?

It's an easy fix, if you can solder. If you can, I'd open it up and check the wiring. replacing the pots would cost you less than 10 bucks (If you do it yourself).
    Good luck!

its easy to learn, Just surf the Internet for tips and techniques then buy a cheap soldering iron which includes the solder for another 10 bucks. Practice before you begin surgery on your baby.
