All good Doc. He was that pocket player with a grindy Spector, Status sound. One of my favorite bands when I was younger. Good hook lines and harmonies.

not familiar with him or his band but 62 is too young to check out from a good life

Oh, you’ve heard them; they had their moment in the mid-80’s...

    This is heartbreaking.

The Outfield was one of my favorite bands of the 80’s. I saw them live 3 times, and had the opportunity to meet Tony, Alan & John on several occasions.

Just last week I was looking for the photos I have from when they visited our shop as I was going to share on their website (I’m still looking.) I even received a credit on their “Voices of Babylon” album.

    How very sad.
    RIP, Tony.:(

Wow amazing history. I still have a ton of their songs on my car play list. I agree, great trio indeed. RIP.

I'm afraid not, actually not aware of that tune at all, but I was out of pop radio range for the '80s

You’d still hear it on retail/restaurant muzak sytems to this day, for decades. Or at least till last March or so.

I was listening to the Play Deep album and looked him on the web for some reason and read of his passing. Great 80's band, pocket player, great voice.

RIP and thank you for the music brother.
