I heard Carol Kaye was awesome...

What peaked my interest about her was that she played on

    the Pet Sounds album....

Guess she's getting up there in years now though....

Who else (female) is really good???

Este Haim. Really solid grooves, but a bassface that puts all the aforementioned players to shame.

Danielle is one of my favorite singers these days, she's going to be around a long time. The whole band with her brothers is great! So many great female players out there but I'll add Amanda Ruzza, I really enjoyed her 'This Is What Happened' album.

I don't think I could name ten. But any list has to begin with . . .

    1. Esperanza Spalding
    2. Carol Kaye
    3. Tina Weymouth
  18. The natural finish of the bass matches her skin tone. The lower horn looks like she has two more fingers !

Candy did eventually join The Cramps, but honestly it's all about Poison Ivy.
