    Hi
I'm using a 20th Anniversary Stingray with retro-fitted(last year) SD Bassline pu and pre amp.

I've recently changed amps from a Trace Elliot to an Ashdown ABM head, and two mini8's.

On the past two gigs I've noticed the D and G string is very quiet. So quiet, I'm having to really smack these two compared to the A and E.

Any opinions on whether this is the pu, amp, or cabs ?:(

Sounds like there's something wrong with the pickup (wiring).

  3. Raise the pickup on the D & G side just a couple of turns and then try it.

If that doesn't work then I would take the bass to a tech and have them check the output of the pickup.
