I know TB's policy on being non political so I will try my very best here.
Toronto Canada (pop. 6 million) just released it's guidelines for reopening restaurants and bars. They are so strict that only huge corporate restaurants will survive.
They have completely banned live music.
Apparantly 10,000 people sharing a 6 acre park is totally acceptable, and 50,000 protesters at Queens Park is cool, but a singer songwriter sitting 25 feet away is a public health nuisance.
It's a long document, but should you be interested-

That truly sucks, and yes, it's pretty unambiguous "Live music is prohibited."

But it may not matter, because they probably killed the restaurant industry with this:
    That'd be a "I don't think so - bye" for me...

They have paved the way for a few corporate giants to open, and made the rules prohibitive for any small operator.

i'm not that surprised that 'tax-base-giants' would have exceptions to any rules about the health and welfare of citizens.
    twas ever thus.

I'm sure the 170,000 small independent eateries pay more taxes than the 3 giga corps that will be opening.

sure, but the 170,000 don't have the right kind of......"clout." it's the stuff we shouldn't talk about! :D
