Total number of URB producers?

    Does anyone have an estimate of the total number of producers of URB's, in the U.S. market of low to moderate
    quality? It seems there are many to a newb in this market.

    The number of actual producers is far less than the number of names that you see. It is a longtime custom for music stores or companies to have their labels put on basses. It is quite easy for me to source "Anton Gollihur Basswerks" basses to sell, "ghost-manufactured" by a number of different Chinese, Korean, Romanian, etc., bass manufacturers. In some cases the basses are altered in some way for the store, but most frequently it's the same basses that are coming down the line, with different labels slapped on them.

    It's been done for many years in most every industry you can name.
