This is a great charity event we do every year. This year I did sound Friday night for a friend's band as well 20170818_203008. I used my X32 producer /Turbosound system which worked great. Band played on a China top trailer. This event is a show and shine charity event for the local children's hospital burn unit. So I was donating my time and gear for this.

Food was via food truck and via grill set near the stage where a local butcher was feeding us some awesome Jerky and various encased meats. 20170819_150517.

A charity auction was held. And let me tell you truckers are very generous fellas.. Prices were astronomical a chicken key chain raised $900 20170819_183834.

Band played on a fold out stage provided by the local municipality. No action shots but here is the set up. We played 2 long sets. It's always odd at these events as the crowd likes to hang out by their trucks but we got lots of compliments on the band after the show. And had a great time playing its always fun playing through a big system where everything sounds just right. Our sound guy Rob and has assistant Christian did an awesome job. 20170819_140001. 20170819_145344. 20170819_220341.

    Hi,

Wow! Tons of fun! The rigs look nice! Yours and the diesel rigs. ;)

With all the trucks and the races, I'm glad the band could be heard. :D

    Thank you for your indulgence,

  11. Greatness! What is a Bergsteiger?! (saw it on the chalk menu)
    Sounds like a German panzer!

  12. Very nice gig! Looks like fun. I've never made it to the race track there but remember hearing it during soccer games as a kid.

  14. Nice gig, I'm surprised it wasn't *all* food trucks, just to keep it, you know, on trucks.

But what I really need is a rig rundown on your killer bass rig! That's a really cool looking Trace amp I am unfamiliar with, and your cabinets - Hathor and Thunderchild? Or what? Very nice looking rig, inquiring minds want to know!

It's a trace. V Type tube preamp from the 90s..power amp is a rad ice power 1000. Into a hathor 1203 and a thunder child tc112v3. It is a killer rig I have a pope preamp as well but favour this for rock gigs.

Thanks for sharing! Nice rig - love the Reimer...I'm lucky enough to have one of those too, only in a 4-string fretless version. Would love to have a 5!

  17. Oh you have a total GAS-inducing rig. I was always interested in those Pope preamps, how is it?

The pope is awesome as well. Great preamp neither of them or going anywhere anytime soon.

Bergsteiger translated is a mountain climber, but I'm guessing in this case it's beer (one from WV is a hefeweizen).
