Tour basses

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by txthrashking, Aug 19, 2012.

  1. I need cheap basses for tour so if some scumbag deicides to steal it I'll live on
    1. A 4 string with active pups/eq
    2. A 5 string, 35" scale, active pups/eq
The lighter the better so I can act a fool on stage

Buy exactly what you want, get pro-musician insurance, sell 'em after the tour.

This. Insuring a couple of basses will run you far less than buying cheap ones.

If you own a bass that you love that just so happens to be inexpensive, that's a joyous and wonderful thing.

To get a strange, unknown bass for the sole purpose of going on tour with it....... I don't know that I like that idea.

You should be concentrating on putting your best foot forward on a tour. You can't do that in a pair of off brand Crocs IMO.

Play the bass that you know and love, and keep an eye on your stuff as best you can.
