I have the opertunity to buy a Trace Elliot 200w head with GP7 EQ and a 15" Trace Elliot Cab (200w aswell) for £400...

firstly are they any good and secondly is it worth the money

  2. A little pricey if you ask me. The TE amps are excellent, you sure as hell won't be disappointed, but I'd say £400 is a little pricey!

£350 for NOS, £300~ used, would be an ideal price, perhaps. try bargaining down! :)

£400 for a Trace head with a 1X15 and a 2x10 is bargain in anyone's money. I have the exact same set-up and, although bought independently - all second-hand as well - I paid nearly £700 for mine. Buy it now before he changes his mind!

That sounds like an AH200 head with an 1153 cabinet and 2103 cabinet. 400 quid is what, 700-800 USD these days? That's probably a reasonable price. Each of those pieces would probably go for about 250 USD in good condition.

Last night at rehearsal my guitarist was bitching about me selling my AH200. He really loved the sound of that head. So did I. I wish I still had it, even if only as a backup, or for smaller gigs.
