Since I'm not really playing big clubs anymore I find that I can get away with my combo amp for most gigs. So I sold off most of my rig and all I have left is my Trace GP11/AH250. If I ever thought I'd need it again I'd definitely hold on to it since this is the only head that gave me "my sound". That bathed in bass, vibrate your appendix sound. It was reconditioned several years back by British Audio Service who enclosed it in the neat little amp case you see in the photos. It is in very good condition and sounds as good as ever. This one doesn't have the trademark Trace ground effects lighting, but everything else about it is pure TE. I saw one listed recently for $550, which I thought was a bit high. I'm asking $325 shipped CONUS.
Mike, I'm interested, but somehow I can't find any specs for this model online. Can you tell me what is the wattage, impedance, etc.?
It's 250 watts. I ran two 8 ohm Eden cabinets, a 210 and a 410 and I never had the gains higher than 10 o'clock which pumped out more than enough volume, and especially that Trace bathed in bass tone. If I was still playing clubs regularly I'd keep it. Let me see if I can get more detailed specs on it.
Well, I have a Sterling SB14 4 string in the classifieds. It's in great condition and comes with custom pick guard and brand new Fender padded gig bag. I'll toss in some extra cash to sweeten the deal. There's someone asking about it now but no offer has been made. I used a Trace rig years ago and really miss that tone.
