Where can one go to find specs on older Trace Elliot amps? Such as, which models have tube preamps, watts, size dimensions and weight. I've been on the British Audio Service site, but unless I just don't know where to look, I can't find that info. Any info that can get me pointed in the right direction will be appreciated.

The best source I've found for info on old trace elliot gear is talkbass... so you've already done what I'd do - post a thread in the TB amps forum ;)
You might want to send a PM to TB'er Kelly Lee - he's the resident Trace Elliot freak and has quite a lot of information... he has a collection of owners manuals saved as PDF files I believe...

    Matthew,

Thanks for the reply. I would do that , but for the fact that I wouldn't know which model to ask about. Since what I'm wanting to do, is be able to look at several in order to make comparisons.

  4. I also like to have the spec of the V-Type preamp too.

  5. Trace Elliot have now re-emerged from their Gibson experience under the wing of Peavey UK. They have a new website at

    http://www.trace-elliot.co.uk

    devoted to new models.

The former R&D manager has several interesting things on eBay.co.uk at the moment including his complete collection of Trace Elliot brochures, manuals etc., and the last Mark 5 pre-amplifier. Check these out:

I am sure he could be contacted via the eBay ask a seller a question service. He might be willing to point to a listing of older models and outline specs.

  6. There's my little V8 website too of course. Check my signature.
