Trace Elliot VA400?

    What is this amp? Is it a 400 watt tube head? I thought their 400 watt tube head was a V8 (8 x KT88s)

    Isn't the VA400 an older model?

    They made some tube heads in the late 80s that didn't last long in the market.

    One looked like the Trace solid state heads (complete with black light) but had tube power sections. You could go "all tube" but it totally bypassed the solid state preamp :eek: with all the EQ functions.

    There were also the "QuatraValve" heads which had silver control panels instead of the usual Trace green.
