I got this Custom Shop Dolphin 5-String, and believe me, this bass is a Dream!

Very Rare Birdseye Maple Body with Wenge NT neck.

But I've got a 1992 Dolphin with a Boire body, and I'd like to have something a little more along those lines.

    DSC00079.jpg

So what I'm looking for is a 5-String Dolphin with a more traditional body wood, a Non-Volute neck, and a BIG PLUS for Broad Neck & Bartolini pickups & Preamp. A Wenge neck is obviously a Must!

    Volute:

That's pretty much the only trade I'm looking for. If you've got something in the $3K range that you feel I ABSOLUTELY must consider, than feel free to run it by me, but be prepared for disappointment. Enjoy the rest of the pics.

This bass is a 34" scale, Narrow Spacing 16.5 - 17MM, she weighs in at 10.5 Lbs. The only issues with this bass is the broken end on the JAN II Nut (All of them are broken!) and there is a slight depression in the wood between the 12th fret side marker. I've tried to get a clear pic, but it doesn't show up. This bass has an OHSC that has protected the bass nicely, but looks pretty rough.

Yes, it has been listed here as well. I've talked to him about this Wonderful bass, but he is looking for something Pretty Specific, and I don't think this narrow-spaced Fish is quite it.

I think we all know the chances of getting the trade I want are .000001 : 1 Bump

Well, I've recently gotten a Valenti 5er that is getting my Play Time. Perhaps I should consider $elling this and actively pursueing a Dolphin 5 String BN purchase. Bump for now...

  7. Selling price? Also, what do the control knobs do? Don't know the electronic setup of the Dolphin. I'm interested to say the least. Looking to pick up a 5 string Warwick. I have been looking at Thumbs but this looks pretty awesome.

$eling price would be whatever I can find a suitable replacement Dolphin for.

The electronics are Stacked Vol/Blend/Push-Pull Active/Passive, and Stacked Trable/Bass/Push-Pull Dual/SingleCoil on the Bridge pickup. Gets a tone similar to a Streamer SS2 in that mode. I'll PM you a price if I find a suitable BN / Bart equiped Dolphin. Rare Birds!

Are you that surprised? Your request is insanely specific. Might want to consider selling it outright, then waiting for something to pop up.

Ahh, if this was a 4 bangers! The maple body is gorgeous and ever more rare than the bass itself.

Im old enough to recognize those 3 things on your bands banner...they are those little "zingers" that we used to shoot when I was a kid in those plastic guns. Those little things used to sting...I forget what they were called...

Nope, you're not as old as you thought. I know what you're talking about, and they look similar. Our Bands logo are the Inserts for a 45 RPM record (A single) so you could play it on an LP's Spindle (an Album). We are Raized on Records!

Oh my goodness! I inhaled my coffee when I read the little zinger things post. It reminded me of a conversation over Thanksgiving dinner where the kids didn't know who the Peanuts or Snoopy was. Finally one of the older kids figured it out and said "Oh, you mean the MetLife dog!" Holy smokes!

The band name, band logo, and the bass are flat out amazing in my book. If you decide you want to sell and post a price, I will be watching.

    Rock on!!!!

Any band that puts the bass player in the middle of the stage without a microphone is worth listening to in my book!
