Is a double digit IQ a prerequisite to work at a Guitar Center?
  2. I'm sure there are some in the single digits as well :)

are you going to take that home today?( Said a million times)

Ask them a question and get the standard GC reply
UHHHHHH??????????????? followed by baffeled look on face.

Can I see the 4 string musicman? Hands me a 5 , I hand it back and they don't get it.

I have found the prices are not much better than our local stores ,who have all the major brands and them some plus service and knowledge that cannot be beat.

I am not impressed with GC
  5. but more of the same crap makes them better right?

    Standard GC flunky:

"No we don't have any of _______. But we can order it and call you when it comes in."

My response: "I can order it myself, and not have to come back."

Lather, rinse, and repeat the EXACT conversation every time I go there looking for something.

Shove that peg hard enough and eventually the corners will wear down, and...voila!

What do you mean? I love Columbus' GC! Nothing like getting talked down to by some kid who knows jack about basses!
Calling a Pedulla a Modulus; come on. :scowl:
Last time I was in, this one kid just would not leave me alone. Everytime I picked up a bass-poof! There he was. "Duuude! You like that fretless, huh? Warwick Corvette, man! Warwick. Check that body, man, solid walnut!"
    No, it's bubinga.
    "Bu wha?"
    Bubinga. Not walnut.
"So it's just like alder, then, right?"
    No, it's nothing like alder.
"Oh. Well, rock on, man! You lemme know when you wanna buy that thing!"
"Duuude! Check out the pickups in this badboy! EMG's, man! These things ROCK! They're like, waaaayy active, bro!"
No. Those are EMG-hz. Budget EMG's. Passive.
"Cool! You lemme know when you wanna buy that thing!"

Ahhh. GC and dumb Ohio redneck pothead morons. Yay. :rollno:
