In your opinion, what is the most transparent combo that has the best jazz tone. My price range is $500-$600 and i need at least 100 watts.

If it matters, i play a jazz bass fingerstyle

Yorkville XM200 or XM200T. Fits your budget perfectly and is the most transparent amp you'll find in that pricerange. Also the loudest you'll find as well.

    I'll second that!!! :hyper:

You can also add an extension cab at a later date if you wish.

Word is, it sounds really punchy with a XC115X under it.

There was an iAmp 800 combo for sale in the amp section. I haven't heard one but would think it would deliver what you seek. I use an iAmp 800 into Accugroove(s) and it is quite transparent.

    Noob question:

what is transparent specifically defined as. Whenever I hear the term, i definately don't think of a good sounding tone. I think of thin, brittle tone. Tone with no meat. What does it really mean? :help: :bag:
