Travelling With Amps

    Has anyone here ever travelled with big amps. it looks pretty likely that ill be going to the US next summer and was thinking about bringing back an Avatar 1x15 and an Avatar 2x12, just wondering if i could travel with them, they are pretty heavy. anybody ever done it?

    If you are taking them on the plane, get ready for some damage; also, they are quite oversize, but I dont know what the regulations are fot that. Be sure to check it out.

    You have two choices. Checking them in as baggage or shipping them as cargo. Shipping them as checked baggage could easity cost you 2-3 times the cost of shipping it cargo. The difference in rates is substantial.

    I would recommend you ship it cargo. You can have the factory do that from there end. Much easier than you lugging it around, finding the freight office at the airport, etc.
