TRB-5II (used) For 650$ a good deal?

  1. look @ topic :) ok i was look in for a new bass and when i went to a local used shop, i saw this for 650$. I wanted it! Im going to go back wed to get it but i want your opinions first...thanks and goodnight ;)

  5. its mint...its pretty new actually...i checked it out and there was nothing wrong with it...no dents or scratches...ima have a fun time wit dis...n e more comments ne1? :D cant wait for wed...sure im spending 650 but im getting a new toy :cool: :D

  8. damn...theres a little problem...my parents wont let me spend 650$...i got that plus some but they wont listen to me. :confused: My dad says 1/2 of it can buy a great 5 string bass then i try to explain but ignores me...gotta love that :mad:
    Anyway..hopefully i can explain to them why i want it b4 some1 else gets it...arghhh :(

    I have one,mine is trans Amber.It's a very good bass for me,well made and it sounds excellent.Try to convince your dad to come to the store with you and hope he will be overcome with it;s wonderfulness and C the light.

    I play one and I absolutely love it. They have a great neck, good b string, and sound terrific. You can get a pretty good variety of tones out the TRB. I am surprised they aren't more popular. It really is a nice bass. A little on the heavy side though. Glad you convinced your folks. Enjoy! ;)

    Doing my best Brad Johnson imitation, I really think you could do better. If it were a TRB5P it would be different.
     
  13. argh..decisions......now i dunno...i got enuff $ + some( :) )...bah ima go wed and try out every 5 string :D then go down to the store and try out every 5 string...im findin a damn 5 string :rolleyes:

    The price isn't great---unless you really want that bass. Resale on Yamaha is terrible. Which is a good reason to buy one used. From your last post it sounds like you got a boner for a five string. There are lots of good deals out there. Maybe you should shop around. Then if you really like that bass make them an offer less than the asking price.
