    Hey guys.

Just wondering if there are any of you out there who put Floyd Roses or Bigsbys or anything similar on your basses.

In my designs I have for a brother/sister bass/guitar duo, I want to put a whammy on both. Is that feasible? Is that useful? Are there any luthiers who already do it? Are there any good players who use them?

Both Kahler and Hipshot make bass trems. I've never used the Hipshot, but I have a Kahler on one of my basses and I like it a lot. It's definitely feasible, but whether or not it's useful is largely debatable. To me, it's purely a gimmick type of thing (I do have a soft spot for gimmicky things . . .), but maybe you'll play music where it plays an integral role; who knows?

As far as famous players go, the only notable person I've seen using one was Les Claypool. Victor Wooten is in a magazine advertisement for Kahler, but I've yet to see him make use of it.
