So I was at the music store today (long and mcquade) and tried out 2 ibanez basses. Here's my 2 cents:

First was an SR Premium 4 string and it play nice, light, super fast neck, good sustain, left me impressed.

Then i decided i try the ATK200 beside it. It was like wrestling an elephant after playing the SR but man did it sound awesome. It sounded way more like a bass to me than the SR. Next time i have a couple hundred bucks floating around i am grabbing one of these.

    Go for it!

  3. It's amazing what more body mass and neck size will do to the bass sound (ATK.)

can someone tell me the difference between the ATK200 and 300 or is it just colors?

  5. The little I know I think it's just the colors and headstock logo.

I'm noticing a lot of the 300' s seem to have maple boards where the 200's are rosewood

  7. Yes, that's true. You could actually get an ATK 2EX1 which is rosewood and black body (GC special order bass), maybe get one used really cheap, too.)
