I'll be coming to Atlanta for the first time in my life in March. I will be there from March 7th, through the 13th. The reason for my visit is to attend a Cisco networking class. I'll be in class during the days until 8PM. After that, I should have some free time in the evenings.

What do I "need" to do while I am in Atlanta? I won't be bringing any cash to buy bass gear, so I doubt I'll try and hit up some bass shops.

Your going to have free time during boot camp??? ;)

  6. Go to the Clairmont Lounge for a nightcap.

  7. And then get over to Grady straight-away for some pennicillin!

  8. it's the Clermont Lounge and if you've never been, it's worth the effort.

does anyone know if Blondie is still there?

Yeah...I know. I should stay in my room and study, but I won't. I'm going to want to hit the city and check it out. I know Cisco fairly well, and it is the CCNA, so I should be OK with the 12 hours a day in the classroom.

JT....I would LOVE to come by and have a look at your collection. Thank you kindly for the offer, that is really nice. I'll get in touch with you when the date gets closer.

I'd do the same. good luck (not that you;ll need it), BTW.

  12. Don't know about her, but my favorite was Koko. I haven't lived in Atlanta for a few years though, so there is a slim chance that some new faces have made there way in. Been so long, I forgot how to spell the name. I was never there sober anyway though.

  13. Blondie crushes beer cans with her, uuhhh....dirty pillows. She's probably the most (in)famous "entertainer" there.

  14. Classy.

Ummm....yeah...I am a married man, and I love my wife. I think I'll stay away from this place.

Checking out JT's Conklin collection sounds much more appealing to me.

  17. the good thing about the clermont lounge is that it has very little to do with lust - one look at most of the staff will cure you of that. it's sort of like watching a john waters movie.

Blondie is still there. I'll be in LA while you're here. Besides, a strip joint that serves PBR in a can. What's not to like?! :hyper:

Y'all talking about Blondie, shame on y'all... She read me poetry and crushed a couple empty PBR's last time I was there... Ya know she went to Emory for an English Degree :scowl: .

I'll PM you my cell... call should you need anything!
