Trouble with a TU-2?

Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by strangemusic, Feb 10, 2005.

  1. My longtime ally, a Boss TU-2 Tuner stompbox, has suddenly started acting all freaky-deaky on me. Upon stomping the pedal to switch to tuning mode, i get a flashing LED and indicator reading "0". I know this is probably some super-trivial thing (don't let me near a real effects box, i know! ), but any suggestions?
  2. ah, batteries, yes... *headsmack*

And the disco crazy mode is the Streaming tuner, BTW. the lights slow to a stop as you come to pitch.

i dont think the original roland battery is all that long lived in them. mine just died and i had the same instant freak out symptoms on mine. i'll have to say, the battery was really dead........the tu-2 seemed to hold on till the last electron was spent.
  4. Problem solved, thanks for the help and the Long/McQuade tip.
