Trouble with my Ibanez 35 practice amp

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by Oldie but noobe, May 22, 2005.

  1. No sound at all through the speaker. It is fine through the headphones. I plugged and unplugged the speaker jack nothing not even static. I don't see an easy way into the cab
    I don't see a reset or a fuse.

Any Ideas? it was fine last time I played through it. :help:

  2. make sure the cabel from the head part to the speaker is plugged in

Little amps like that tend to have a fuse mounted internally on the circuitboard. Also, its possible one of the speaker leads inside has become unconnected.

You're going to have to open it up to be sure. It CAN be opened, perhaps not easily, but it was once assembled, so it CAN be dissassembled. If you don't feel comfortable doing it, you'll have to drop it off at a local tech.

We can't fix it from here, that's for sure!

  4. Thanks Eric.
I guess I'll open it up. Sure wish you could fix it from there :D

  5. I opened it up. The board came out easy. It took a while to get at the speaker because the girll is velcroed in place. I never would have guessd that.

The speaker was connected fine and the two fuses are not blown. Any more Ideas
