Hey i've had my wrench slip a good number of times adjusting my 2008 jazz truss rod.
    Its beginning to get stripped.
I heard that you can replace the nut.
how would I take the stock nut out and where could i get a new one?

  2. to take the stock nut out, you need to get a bigger wrench so it doesn't slip any more. IME if you get the perfect fit wrench, you have to wiggle it a fair amount to fit it in, but when it's in, there isn't a chance of it slipping.

As for a new nut, try http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Truss_r...tted_Truss_Rod_Nut/Related_items.html#details
i couldn't find a hex one anywhere, but as it is "for fender" i would guess it will fit your thread fine. :) hope that helps!

It should be a 3/16" nut - just like the wrench you should have gotten with the bass. I guess I can't understand how this could happen...

  5. Not inserting the wrench far enough in the slot.
