Tube amps and active basses

    I just wanted to say that I've recently aquired a couple different all tube amps (Mesa 400 + & SVT II non-pro) and an active bass (a Sadowsky). I think you can get incredible tone, but this situation is the least forgiving. If your technique has *any* flaws, they will come out in this type of setup. The good thing is that your technique has to improve to sound good, so you work harder.

    NOT true. If anything, it will make you sound better. It deletes all the flaws by the passive pickups and ss amps. Sure, they're a little hotter, but your playing will sound the same anyway.

    I appreciate a different opinion, but my experience is the opposite. I'm glad though.
