Tube Motherboard!

    I think this fits here, but I just today heard about this new tube motherboard for computers.

    AOpen is now producing a motherboard with an on-board Vacuum tube for audio (Yes the kind of tube we love in our amps). The idea is that instead of having normal solid state sound provided by sound cards, you can have tube driven sound on your computer.

    Pretty crazy stuff, I'm pretty tempted to get one myself, knowing how good tubes sound :)

  7. Talk about re-using an old idea. I mean computers are so anal about making everything smaller and faster, then they go and whack a huge (in comp terms) mass heat producing valve? Top thinking twits!
