Tube Power Amps

    Are there any companies out there that are still manufacturing High output tube/valve heads.

    Anything akin to the ol' Mesa Strategy 400/500
    or the Aguilar 728

    Demeter makes a big monoblock like the Aggie. Don't know off-hand of any still doing a stereo thing like the Mesas. A quick search should turn up quite a few threads.

    i picked up a rivera tbr-5 off ebay for $750, and seem them go for $650 (of cours after i bought mine)
    they are all tube, and are 160X2 (8 6550's), but are not bridgeable....

    Has anyone ever tried Mesa Boogie 20/20 with bass? It could give a nice power amp distortion with low volumes. Looks like there is also a slave output to feed separate solid state power amp, when higher volumes are needed.

    Combination <tube preamp + Mesa Boogie 20/20 + QSC PLX 1602> looks quite interesting on paper. Lightweighted, lots of power, power tube distortion.

    Any experiences?
