Does anyone know anything about these babies - mainly if they suit bass or not, and the quality. I thought it might be a Pre for our axe murdering 6 string thin string nutters, and therefore avoid it.

Price is ( quick conversion ) about $100

EDIT its a used pre., not new

I have the Blue Tube RT-904 from the same series. I don't use it in my live rig anymore, but I did for 2 years and I still use it in my practice rig. It's an excellent and under-rated pre that can be used with bass or guitar. If memory serves the Real Tube is similar but has more gain. Try it before you buy it if you can, if not $100 is a decent deal and you should be able to get your $ back out of it if you decide to resell.

Thx JD - i'm not bothered by the extra gain - just as long as it can handle the Hz ! ...and isnt too gritty
  4. its been a long time but if you got it, did you like it? I have the same question.
