Tune Bass: What model is this?

    I just got this thing & I need some help id'g it. Its a Tune, I do belive it is a Japanese one... Any ideas?

  2. That is indeed a Japanese made Tune. A GAP Model 5 string, I believe. A very fine bass, congrats. Are the stock electronics intact?

    I had a Japanese Tune many moons ago and still miss it. Congrats! These are as good as they come...

    Thank you sirs!!! The electronics are stock as far as I know, I actually didnt bust open the cavity... It does have Tune pups. I pick it up, hopefully, tomorrow!! :D

    Ok, another question... What the deal with the 2 Tune's The Japanese & Korean. When I go to the Japanese one it says in no uncertain terms to "Beware Imitations" Im assuming they are refering to the Korean models. So how are the Korean models being manufactured seemingly without the Japanese company's permission? The Korean ones I played were cool for the $$, but after playing a Japanese one, it was clear these were 2 different animals!!! And why the hell is so little info in the i/net about these great axes!?!?

    Anyone know the story?
