    ...can´t decide between those two.
I know i can´t go wrong with the BOSS but the FENDER is half the price.
I could only find reviews about the old Fender model the pt-10 but not about the new one so if somebody is using the Fender please
    tell me about it.

  2. Get the Boss TU-2. Bottom line. Best bass investment for me.

Boss TU-2. The fender is fine, but the boss is GREAT.
A good tuner is a great investment.

  7. I have owned a few Fender PT-100's and find two faults with them.

    1) The black plastic cover always seem's to slip of the bottom part of the pedal.

    2) The PT-100 does not tune the open low B on a five string.

Apart from that, they do a great job (easy to read, fast, accurate, mute switch)

Does anyone know if the TU-2 can tune the open low B? If so, then I'm changing.

Definitely get the TU-2. When bypassed, it does not adversely affect your tone, which is a biggie for me.

The plastic is much more durable than what? Metal? Also, if the Fender won't track a low B, then you can't even tune a real bass with it.

  16. Yeah, Im forced to tune to E on the B string, as the Fender just cant pitch the B, no matter how long you let it ring. I gave my last Fender PT to my sister, because the plastic cover kept jumping off, no matter how much gaffer tape I used (same roll of gaff held my driver side mirror onto my car for six weeks).

Sound like the Boss or the Korg DT10 are the way to go for any five string player. I have the Korg GA-30, and its great for the low B.

*mods, I'm in no way associated with this seller in any way shape or form.... just saw something that could help out a couple lowenders!
