Tuners, input please

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by Doryan, Sep 21, 2002.

  1. I'm looking for tuners on my custom bass.
But I don't know any brand (only gotoh) and I don't know what's out there.

Anyone have some links or websites of manufacturers, or any other input will help.

    Thanks. :)

    I agree.
  4. You can buy Hipshots from http://www.stewmac.com

You should also get Stewart-MacDonald's catalogue because you'll get a lot of ideas reading it!

I really like Sperzel tuners and have them on my 2 basses.
They're very small, elegant, light, they come in many custom colors, and they have the marvellous string locking system.
Insert the string into the peg, turn the handscrew, cut the string and you're done.

I have basses with Schallers, Gotohs, and Hipshots. The Hipshots are clearly a cut above the rest.

  7. I'm putting these on the Warmoth bass I'm building. Great tuners at a pretty decent price.
