    Lynn,

I am a recovering jazz saxophone player who has thrown himself into upright.
Several years ago I sat in on a masterclass you gave at an Aebersold clinic about essential tunes that bass players aught to know and/or had very specific bass lines, but it was before I had my chops together enough to learn them.

I am wondering if you could post that list (if handy)? I'm looking to add some strict regimentation to my tune-learning practice routine. Gracias! -Jeremy in Memphis

    Hi,
Yes, Chris is correct that I am not getting notifications to this forum. It seems this is the only post that I have missed. Sorry about that. I will work to get that issue resolved. I am doing alright!
There is no official list of standards with bass lines that we should know, but here are a few (Please add more in your responses!):
    A Night in Tunisia
Autumn Leaves (Sam Jones' G-6 bassline)
Green Dolphin Street (some variation of Paul Chambers' bassline on the intro and melody)
Someday My Prince Will Come (some variation of Paul Chambers' bassline on the intro and melody)
    Recordame Intro
    Song For My Father
    Chameleon
    Cold Duck Time
    So What
    Haitian Fight Song
    Footprints
    Red Clay
    Killer Joe
