I think it is a very fair price for the bass.

Incredible bass, very versatile, in great shape. 9/10.

    swamp ash body
    maple neck
    Bartolini pick up
    demeter 3 band preamp
    gotoh hardware
    35" scale

Great sound and great B string

sound file can be heard here

    finger groove

    slap sound here

everything was set flat, on the bass and on the board. No effect at all, no EQ. both pick ups are set 50/50

These have always been in my mind as a must have bass. If this were a six I'd jump on this one. Man, I wish this guy still made basses. Whoever ends up with this one will be a lucky individual.

What song are you playing on that finger style clip? That bass line sounds like a Brand new heavies song or something like that.

That sounds like a slinky variation on a Jamiroquai song....whoever J has playing on his tunes always provides tons of exelent "listening" study for those of us (me) trying to soak up sublime styles by osmosis..even the keyboard style bass lines in many songs are awsome, Abersol like albums to play along with

Sounds like RHCP "My Lovely Man" to me.

it is, and the slap bass is a variation of the same theme.

So,, is this Nicholas' first Tung bass? Or is it just the first one with a serial number?

I can't say for sure. I tried to talk to Nicholas Tung but I never been able to reach him...
  11. I've played this bass and I can guarantee it is amazing. It's really light and plays and sounds like a Ken Lawrence.

I could be wrong, but I believe that is a newer Tung. He built mostly set necks originally and there were about 100 of those which some had neck problems and misc things happend. Anyway, I had a 5 and 6 string which a buddy owns both now. Bunnybass had a 6 string fretless a few years ago.

Now from what I understand, after Nick quite biulding and moved to Tx he built a few newer basses. I believe this might be one of those newer ones. I don't believe he is building at all anymore but running a resturant now.

Very nice bass!!! I loved the ones I had come through, but they both had a custom preamp in them and I'm not sure what bunnybasses had in it.

    Wonderfull playing basses!!!
