Tuning on vic wooten - more love?

Discussion in 'Recordings [BG]' started by THIRSTYGUMS, Feb 18, 2006.

  1. What way is vics bass tuned on more love from a show of hands? i tried to learn it according to power tab version but it sounds all wrong?!?!? anybody know?:crying:

  2. Would you happen to have the Guitar Pro version of this song? I've wanted to learn it ever since I heard it a few months ago.

  3. I have the "Best of Victor Wooten" book, it has this song in it. He plays it on a tenor bass, meaning you tune a regular 4-string a fourth higher then normal, so the lowest string is the A. It goes A-D-G-C.

BE CAREFUL!! Do NOT attempt this with normal bass strings, you'll probably break them. I don't know where to get tenor bass strings though, your on your own there.

"tenor bass" is technically the just top 4 strings of a 6 string bass.

    A D G C

    I wouldn't tune up a reg E string to an A. YIKES!
