    I think "dark turd brown" was a color that Gibson was thinking of offering in the mid-70's. Maybe it's a rare prototype... :rolleyes: :rollno:

    Isn't the seller the same guy who had the hacked up Gibson Ripper a couple of weeks ago?

    I wish I had a pic of that monstrosity.

    Whats the aesthetic appeal? Does anyone really like these?

    I did some studio work with a very similar bass(that was not violated in such a disgusting manner). It had mojo, even thought the strings were beat and made my fingers smell funny for about a week. The bass belonged to the studio and the producer recommended I play it on a couple tracks. As far as tone, think Journey, "Who's Cryin' Now"(not even sure if that's the actual name of the song, but you know what I mean..
