Age and birthdays usually don't affect me too much. But this one has made me stop and think. There was a time when I knew I wouldn't make it to 30-years old. Considering my life style at the time that was probably true. I am just really grateful to be where I am today. Still leaning, still growing and loving my life. Being part of the Talkbass OT family is part of that. Feel free to hijack this thread. :p

    Happy early Birthday again.

I'll be 28 in a week. My ex turned 30 yesterday. I was nice, and didnt make her feel like an old hag.

Congratulations on 60 and what sounds like a storied life.

My mom said that 30 was harder than 40; 25 is freaking me out. My kid going into first grade is freaking me out.

  5. Happy Early Birthday! I'm about 1 1/2 years behind you. Doing anything special? ;)

Man, you are old, like really old, like when Yoda was young and dirt was rock old. You're like so old that threads started with "what's the best bass for rock" since metal didn't exist yet. :)

Bass shopping. My wife said "You don't turn 60 everyday, why don't you get a new bass?" I currently have a classic 50's Precision. I'm thinking Stingray Classic 5. What do you think? I play rock in a church through a GK MB1500. If you have ever heard Misty Edwards or Jesus Culture that is the kind of music we play.

Funny you should mention this. I recall thinking this exact same thing sometime in my hi-school years.

Then when i turned 30, I remember thinking nfw am I gonna live to be 60.

Not there quite yet, but if i stay in the house, sell the Harley and stop the drinking, i just might make it. :smug:

I just had my 25th birthday the other week, and I didn't want to turn 25. So i celebrated my 300th month birthday. Seemed like less of a blow.

    So happy 720th month!

Thanks for doing the math for me, I'm too old to figure things like that out without a slide rule.

And my wife is having great time throwing me a party. I think it is more about her than me, but I am okay with that. It blows my mind when I realize I have been with her for more than half my life. She is the best.
