This has been cleared with the Mods. so here is the deal. The House Of Guitars in Rochester NY has two brand new unopened in the box 2014 Lefty Ric 4003s. One Jetglo the other Fireglo. This is a pretty tough bass to find. The H.O.G. is a super cool brick and mortar store that has been in biz for over 50 years, I have been friends with the owner for over 40 years. They will treat you right. I get nothing out of this other than helping friends move merch. and putting a bass in a players hands. Here is their phone number 585-544-3500 ask for Bruce or Curt, tell them Scott aka Hoss sent you. http://www.houseofguitars.com/
The old H.O.G. commercials were the bomb. Sort of like The Riddler meets Judas Priest. Growing up in southern Ontario it was THE place to go even if all you got was the t-shirt.
Seriously? I didn't realize Ric was making the 4003FL again. I have a 4001SFL that I love. This probably means a road trip over Christmas vacation time is in order.
on a similar note,.. Rockers Guitars in SF, Ca has a couple of Custom Shop Fender Precision's on sale for dealer cost plus tax! i recently picked up a 59 Heavy Relic in Shell Pink for $2300.& tax. they are normally $3800.00!
I posted about this on Leftybassist. The responses I saw were glee that it took a while before it was mentioned they are left handed.
Quite a find for us lefties. I just got a brand new fretted 4003 Mapleglo lefty - awesome. Hope those two find good homes. Are there inlays of any kind on the fingerboards - just curious, the older fretless Rics had dots but no lines, wonder if that is still how they do them.
Wow. I'm a lefty too (offhand35, I used to have that mug in your avatar). I don't need and can't afford those Ricks, but what a find!
I love house of guitars it's my fav music store ever. They have a ton of gear and treat people right. They gave me a great deal earlier in the year on a fretless Jazz bass...I would not hesitate to do business w them again
I borrowed $$$ from my son's college fund to snag this bad boy...Had to sweat selling a pile of gear to put the money back before my wife killed me . But when the bass o' your dreams comes along...You find a way
