I've seen this bass on youtube. There's something so magical about Tylers that just can't be matched by anyone in my opinion.
He went through a period of being very sick and at one point needing a new special CNC rig to start bass building again. He was supposed to do that like a decade ago. All of us wish and pray he will again some day.
Nice bass for sure. That looks like a different bass to the one being sold ? ALL basses sound different. I had James Tyler build me a 4 string back in about 1990. Great bass BUT didn't sound like Neil Stubenhaus's bass..LOL
Yes that is not the same bass. Just the same model with same electronics. It sounds similar. I miss this bass. Wish I had he money to buy it back. Major regret on this one.
I have a James Tyler Abe Laboriel Model and I believe that it is the best bass I've ever owned. There's just something special about Tyler basses, they sit perfectly in the mix and they have a perfect balance throughout the scale. GLWTS.
He didn't really seem to like doing it anyway. It's what he wants to do with his company, so... I got nothing but the best wishes for him.
