    Is there a Nice site that gives examples of different woods, How they Look and Sound? If you can just through in a link or two.

    Try Ken Smith's wood page.He doesn't cover every exotic wood, only the ones he uses. He is rather conservative as high-end builders go, not going for each "flavor of the month." This can be a big advantage, since if something is listed, he has extensive experience with it, and is far less likely to be talking out his ***.

    BTW I wasn't trying to say that Rampart was BS. I'm not familiar with them at all, one way or the other.What I do mean is that there are some builders who will give these kinds of information and recommendations, despite the fact they have built a dozen guitars or less.
